You’ve Probably Forgotten About Me

Can’t blame you a bit if you have. I’ve basically just vanished from the interwebs, and for no particular reason. Sure, I’ve been busy, but not much busier than usual. And sure, I’m suffering from a protracted and much lamented case of writer’s block. And for some reason, I haven’t come across many posts or articles that prod me to share and reblog them with you. Still, no excuse. I have been around, posting the occasional comment on Facebook and responding to the posts of others. But I really need to work on earning my paycheck.

I was looking back over photographs and was struck by the apparent evidence that June has been an exceptional month. So much has been going on family-wise, that I’m going to treat you to a photo-filled post.

There was the baby shower of the century, a family-friends (including the men) hoopla at a big park, with catered tacos and margaritas, and at least 60 people. To go along with the Mexican food theme, I ordered a fun cake, shown here along with the expectant parents.

It includes a serape baby blanket, maraca baby rattles, and an adorable baby pinata. I don’t know what’s cuter… the cake or my pregnant daughter.

All the family babies came to celebrate with us, but poor little Chase  had a hard time of it. He ended up in the hospital for two days with an asthma attack. This picture makes Grandma want to cry, so I included a happier photo from later in the month, at a different party.

It was fun to discover a mother/daughter photograph:

There were birthdays all over the month:

My birthday included the Most Awesome Present Ever, but that gets its own post. Heck, it may rate its own tag. Stay-tuned!

We ended the month by spending a day in wine country with the engaged couple, and managed to snag a couple of really fun photos taken at Raymond Winery:

So June fades away as we head into a, perhaps, quieter July. Sometime in the next 6 – 8 weeks, we get to meet our newest family member, and we are all looking forward to that. Until then, I’m going to try and do better by all of you. Thanks for sharing our family fun!

  1. You are not forgotten. Hope that bit of writer’s block releases it’s hold far sooner than later 🙂

Glad the month of June was so much fun 🙂
