My lovely friend, Jeanne Jackson, has a wonderful book coming out in April. If you’ve never been to Sonoma/Mendocino, or if you go as often as you can, you’re in for a treat with this book. For years, Jeanne has been writing a weekly column in her local paper, featuring photographs from anyone in the area who want to send her a picture of something they’ve seen in nature. They have a fun phone tree that goes into action when whales are spotted off the coast, so everyone can run for a vantage point. Beautiful country, beautiful people!
