Welcome to the New Week

Oh, look. She’s changed her blog.

Do you like it? Hate it? Couldn’t care less? I’ll give you that one. New blog themes are usually only for the author who feels the need to shake things up a bit. It’s like rearranging the furniture.

Or spring cleaning, perhaps. I did tidy up some of the clutter by removing a few pages here and there.

As a new week begins, I find myself dancing on a precipice. I have this inner tickle that wants to accomplish something that will bring a visible result. I thought the new blog theme might do that, but alas, the tickle is still here. I’m going to be bouncing around a bit until I figure out what to do.

In the mean time, the usual needs poke at me. I have a class tonight, so I must print handouts, review the lesson, prepare the game, and bake some bread. There are weeds outside to pull. It’s a gym day, so there are weight machines and a stationary bike calling.

I get to eat today, but have to watch the calories. I was flirting with the 132 mark earlier in the week, but I seem to have settled in at 135 for the last couple of days. I’m sure it was the cherry pie and pistachio ice cream from the other night. What can I say? It was worth it.

I will try to write sometime, too. I’ve been thinking, as opposed to writing, but it’s probably time to actually put some words on the page.  This aspect of writing will be the topic of a coming post, methinks.

Hope everyone had a fun weekend. Did you get some time to play?

  1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves to do stuff that yields visible results. I have no idea what your previous blog looked like, but I do like this one. It’s organized and I love the header because it shows you are a genre writer of sorts.

As for me, I’m going to create a writing desk for me, I’m going to work on a second cover art just in case my publisher doesn’t like the first, and I’ll probably just keep blogging and try to work on a new novel.

  2. I think your new blog design looks great! I do my best work (housework or whatever) with a list. I love to cross off things I’ve accomplished 🙂

  3. I like it. Funny. All weekend my sister and I have been working on our blog too. My editor made a pass on Friday and suggested changes. We’re not totally done, but I have made a change!

  4. The new look is great. The lime green adds a bright flavor to things. Hope you can get that tickle rectified 🙂

  5. I like the look. WordPress is so much more forgiving with ‘moving the furniture’ than Blogger. With Blogger, I feel I’m feeling my way around in the dark.
